Kathleen Griffin, MD, Medical Director

Dr. Griffin is a board-certified, fellowship-trained,  OB-Gyn graduate of UCLA School of Medicine, who transitioned to the aesthetic field of medicine in 2007. Practicing for over 25 years has given her the expertise to provide a comprehensive, holistic approach to patient care. 

Dr. Griffin has found that improvement of one’s exterior can often be as important as addressing the concerns of traditional “internal” medicine. She believes that enhancing one’s beauty or good looks is more about maintaining one’s sense of self-worth and self-confidence than vanity.

Dr. Griffin’s passion for empowering women and offering them the best medical care naturally led her to specialized training in Medical Aesthetics, skin care technology and treatments. 

Her practice, The G Spa, in Santa Barbara, is an award-winning practice in the field of Medical Aesthetics. It is known for offering state-of-the-art treatments and equipment at affordable prices, as well as featuring no down-time, non-surgical modalities. 

Kristie Devine, Registered Nurse

Kristie Devine is a board-certified registered nurse who graduated 15 years ago with honors from Saddleback College in Mission Viejo California in 2008.  She holds a BS from Sierra Nevada college in Incline Village, NV.  Kristie joined The G Spa in early 2017.  Her passion for aesthetics, artistic eye, attention to detail and natural results have earned her local recognition and has made her an integral part of the G Spa team.  She spends time listening and evaluating each client’s individual needs to determine an appropriate plan to achieve desired goals.  Kristie offers and specializes in all neurotoxins such as Botox, Fillers, Micro -Needling, Radio Frequency treatments such as Exilis Ultra and Vivace, PRP treatments (vampire facials), Kybella and medical-grade chemical peels.

Originally from Mendocino County in Northern California, Kristie moved to the Santa Ynez Valley with her family in 2016.  She now lives in Los Olivos with her two young daughters, 2 dogs, 2 cats, 8 chickens, and 1 duck!  Kristie enjoys nature and outdoor activities such as photography, riding horses, gardening, and hiking with friends.  Kristie has a passion for adventure and has travelled extensively worldwide living in both Thailand and in Italy.  When she isn’t at home in Los Olivos, she and her girls often spend time on the beach in Mexico where she owns a second home.

Dianne Summers, Family Nurse Practitioner

Dianne Summers is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who graduated from UCSF with a Master of Science in Nursing degree. Dianne started her career in primary care but gravitated towards aesthetics and laser when she moved to Santa Barbara. 

She joined The G Spa in 2011 working alongside Dr. Griffin in gynecology and weight loss. Dianne has returned to our office after spending time in the plastic surgery field and we are so happy to have her back! Dianne has two children in college and loves to travel. She enjoys cooking, going to the beach, hiking, running, watching movies, reading and spending time with friends and family.

Fulfilling her dream to be an aesthetic medicine Nurse Practitioner has given Dianne the gift of helping people of all ages achieve optimal skin health. Her passion is to provide expert and rejuvenating treatments with great care and attention to detail to each and every client. Dianne loves her work and believes that it is important for people to feel happy and good about themselves inside and outside to live life to the fullest.

Norma Ruiz, Family Nurse Practitioner

Norma Ruiz is a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner who grew up in the Central Coast and spent her early career as a licensed cosmetologist. She has 12 years of experience as a Registered Nurse and works at a local hospital medical surgical unit. 

In 2022, she became passionate for aesthetic medicine and advanced her career by receiving her Master’s degree and board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Norma’s skills include preoperative and postoperative care. She believes that interpreting patient goals is essential in tailoring treatment approaches and providing optimal outcomes. Norma is proactive about enhancing innate beauty and loves to help patients achieve their natural beauty goals at The G Spa. Outside of work, Norma enjoys spending time with loved ones and traveling.
